What to do in Turks and Caicos on a family vacation? Come sailing!
Sailing is the ultimate activity for families with a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure to keep everyone happy. We often have three generations of family members sailing and with a private charter you get to call the shots and decide just how long you want to spend snorkelling, sailing or exploring a private beach or deserted island.
The Turks and Caicos Islands has plenty of great resorts for a family vacation, such as the all-inclusive Beaches Resort. With so much activity to keep the kids entertained you may be looking for a little quiet time together to put the ‘family’ back into your family vacation. Our private sailing charters are ideal for creating those family memories that last long after the tan has faded.
While we are talking family, when Captain Nik’s Mum came to visit for the Christmas holiday, a day on Sail Beluga is exactly what she did! After flying all the way from New Zealand it was the ideal way to get into vacation mode. After starting with some gentle snorkelling on the barrier reef, we hoisted sails and headed East along the islands of the Caicos Cays. The further we sailed the less people we saw until we stopped at a deserted beach where there was not a soul in sight. As the sun dropped lower in the sky it was time to sail for home, with a Beluga Rum Punch in hand and no engine noise to compete with the conversation. We reached Providenciales just as the setting sun hit the water. A perfect end to a perfect day. It was great to see you Mum, hope you come back soon! xx
